Effective Date: March 31, 2020

The excitement of your new investment shouldn’t end before it’s life expectancy. Unfortunately, a lot of consumers in our industry get shorter than life expectancy due to not staying within the manufacturers’ warranty cleaning and maintenance requirements. Regular and long-term maintenance needs to be a part of your plan. By using the Protect My Warranty Program, you agree to these terms of service.

It does not cover a customer who purchased product(s) through another business or a customer who used their own installer to install the product(s). Spot & Spill Service Warranty

Only carpet installed no longer than two years ago and installed by Floor It is covered under the Spot & Spill Service Warranty. Not all stains are removable which can be due to multiple factors. Some common factors are, but not limited to, long-term stains, and using non-approved methods in attempt to remove the stain yourself. Floor It and/or your External Service Provider reserves the right to void the free Spot & Spill Service Warranty if deemed necessary. We are continually expanding our External Service Provider network so you may not be covered if you’re outside of the ESP’s service area. Ask us who your external service provider is for services on this specific warranty.

5-Year Labor Warranty

Materials that fail due to improper installation are covered under this warranty. To file a claim, simply call us and we will schedule an inspection time with you. After inspection, you will receive information on what the next steps look like according to the determination. The expiration date is five (5) years or one thousand eight hundred and twenty-six (1,826) days after the completion of the installation. You will find the completion date on your Protect My Warranty document that should be printed out and kept in a safe place.

Improve Protect My Warranty

We’re constantly developing new features to improve this program. As part of this continual improvement, we sometimes add or remove features and functionalities, increase or decrease limits to our services, and start offering new services or stop offering old ones.

If we make changes that negatively impact your use of services or if we stop offering a service, we’ll provide you with reasonable advance notice, except in urgent situations such as, but not limited to, responding to legal requirements, or addressing security and operability issues.

External Service Providers

External Service Providers, hereinafter referred to as “ESP”, are other businesses that specialize in other industries to ensure you receive the proper service that doesn’t void your warranties. All businesses go through an interview where we make sure they have the qualifications to meet your manufacturers’ warranty cleaning and maintenance requirements before the business becomes an ESP in this program. Some ESPs have paid to assist in keeping this program free of charge to you.

In notifications and reminders, we may share one or more ESP’s details with you to give you the assurance that the business won’t void your warranty. We also want to ensure you receive notifications to protect you from voiding your warranty and keep you within the manufacturers’ warranty cleaning and maintenance requirements. In order to do so, we provide your contact and project information to the appropriate ESP so they can contact you with services to assist in protecting your investment(s).

ESP’s are recommendations to you. We are not responsible for any product(s) or service(s) they provide. All products and services provided by the ESP are between you and the ESP. We do however want to hear about your experiences with all of the ESP’s to help ensure you and all of our customers receive the best experience with them.

Notifications

Notifications are designed to help provide information to care and maintain your investment and are provided in multiple forms. Forms of notifications are, but not limited to, calls, digital mail, and direct mail. These notifications are provided by Floor It or the ESP to share information or offers to help care and maintain your investment(s).

Cancelling Program

At anytime you may contact us and request to be removed from this program. Cancelling your Protect My Warranty may hinder your warranty or warranties which can lead to your warranty or warranties becoming void. You may be eligible to opt out of certain notifications or reminders without cancelling the program. Please contact Floor It to learn what you can opt out of.

Product(s) Maintenance

This program is designed to inform and remind you of your manufacturers’ warranty cleaning and maintenance requirements. It is your responsibility to read, understand, and follow your dealer supplied manufacturer’s warranty, care, and maintenance documents. Copies can also be found on the manufacturer’s website. Floor It is not responsible for damage due to lack of maintenance or improper cleaning.
